BlueFlyers Bluetooth Proximity Marketing Press Releases
Software Update Released
Dec 8, 2008
A software update has been released for BlueFlyers and BlueAgent.
This release expands the information provided about declined flyer
transmissions in Bluetooth Proximity Marketing campaigns. The software
will differentiate between timeouts where no response was received, declines
where the flyer was rejected, Bluetooth device's that do not support OBEX transfers,
and other issues. The updated user's manual contains information on all
recognized declines.
The PC Wizard application can now export Proximity Marketing logs to Excel
or CSV files. This may aid in preparing reports for customers. The Wizard application's
buttons have also been moved to more consistent locations. The maximum number of campaigns in an
advanced flyer (scheduled, rotating, per visit) has been increased from 32 to 100.
Bluetooth Proximity Advertising logs can now be copied from a unit simply by inserting
(or removing and reinserting) a USB flash drive into any USB slot while the unit is
operational. Wait several seconds and the unit will play 4 short beeps to
indicate the copy is complete. This will not copy the configuration from
the flash drive, it will only copy the logs to the USB drive.
